Counsellors do not offer people easy answers to their problems. They are trained to listen and to help people talk through confusing and painful feelings.

These may be about current difficulties in their lives or, often, about unresolved issues from the past

At all times, counsellors respect the values and opinions of those seeking their help and the right of each individual to determine his or her own way of life.

All our counsellors are trained or in training to professional Diploma level as recognised by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and work under weekly supervision. We have BACP Service Accreditation. Reference No 100634 As a counselling service the work of the Centre is confidential. We abide by the BACP ethical framework and have a recognised complaints procedure.

We have access to a Consultant Psychiatrist. We are working towards Equal Opportunity for all. We are wheelchair accessible, and there is a disabled toilet. An Induction Loop is available on request. Broxbourne District Counselling Centre is part of Herts & Beds Counselling Foundation
